Star Tracer Readme



	*****Introduction*****

Star Tracer is a windows program that can be used to improve and enhance "star-trail" photographs. Its two main functions are:

1. Filling in the "gaps" in star-trails that result when stacking multiple images together to create a single star-trail image.
2. Extending the length of star-trails.

Star Tracer works by calculating the path of the stars, and then using that information to either fill in the gaps and/or extend the length of star-trails.

	*****Program Status*****

Star Tracer is released as shareware, meaning you are expected to pay a small fee
to "register" it.  The program will operate without registration but, will print
a series of small watermarks on images that it produces until it has been registered.

	*****Troubleshooting Tips*****

Star Tracer relies on Microsoft Windows ".NET 2" framework.  Most modern
computers already have this framework installed.  If you get an error when 
starting Star Tracer please consult http://www.microsoft.com to download and
install the framework.

If you think you've found a bug, please feel free to report it. However, please
be as specific as possible about what steps you followed to encounter the
problem, the exact text of any error messages you might have seen, and what steps
I should take to recreate the problem.  If I can recreate the problem on my
machine I have an excellent chance of fixing it.  If I can't recreate it, I
have very little chance of figuring out what might have gone wrong on your
machine.
